As many of you know, there have been many victims of devastating floods in Western Japan over the last few weeks. Florida Jetaa has decided to support the donations campaign created and monitored by #USJETAA. If you are looking for a safe and reliable way to get funds to Japan, we encourage you to go through US JETAA!

Since the beginning of this fundraiser, USJETAA has received overwhelming support and has almost reached their goal of $5,000 to support Japan Platform (ジャパン・プラットフォーム) and their great efforts connecting funds to organizations on the ground in western Japan.

If you haven’t donated yet, please consider helping them reach their goal. #prayforjapan #westernjapan

JETAANY Member Alexis Agliano Sanborn is making a documentary about food education in Japan. It’s about the people who make food education and school lunches possible – from cooks and lawmakers to city staff and researchers. It’s a story about people who believe in food – and that teaching about food helps the next generation to grow and thrive. Make this project a reality by supporting her Kickstarter (launching in early January) and like Nourishing Japan on Facebook!

Information about the development of the documentary and the Kickstarter campaign can also be found here:

Online Shopping Fundraiser

Although it has been over a year since the earthquakes, Kumamoto is still rebuilding and can use all the help that they can get. As a result, Florida JETAA is partnering with 20 LulaRoe independent retailers to raise funds for Kumamoto’s earthquake recovery. For every purchase made through LulaRoeForKumamoto from June 11th to June 13th, a portion of that purchase will be donated by the LuLaRoe retailers, and then 100% will be matched by Global Giving! In addition to sharing this event with your friends, family, and network, please join LulaRoeForKumamoto to learn more about this clothing line and how to shop (see pinned post)–you must be a member of the group to shop.
