JETAA Florida invites you to join in our annual 忘年会 (Bounenkai)! Join us for a Japanese style set-course menu as we celebrate a great year with old and new friends.

When: 12/16, 6:15 p.m.
Where: Koume Japanese Restaurant (11905 W Sunrise Blvd, Plantation)
Contact: Wendy Lo (miami@floridajetaa.org)

Each year, Sekita-san surprises us with a unique menu. The meal will be a pre-set Japanese course for $25 per person (plus service fee of $0.99 per ticket + 3.5% of ticket price for a total of $26.69). It includes several courses: soup, salad, appetizers, sushi, other dishes, and dessert. Tip is also included in the price. Since some members choose not to drink, the cost and tip for drinks are NOT included into the deal (we ask that you pay for that separately). All participants must buy tickets ahead of time.

The deadline to RSVP is Dec. 13th If you are bringing a guest, please pay in advance and RSVP for them as well. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies you must inform us by Dec. 12th or else the restaurant will not be able to accommodate you.

There are unfortunately no refunds for tickets purchased. However, you can sell your ticket to someone else via brownpapertickets.com if you can’t make it. Any purchased but unused tickets will be considered a donation to JETAA-FL and will be used for future events and activities. JETAA-FL Bounenkai is an awesome opportunity to network and build a stronger JETAA community in Florida to foster cultural exchange with the US and Japan. We hope to see you there!

JETAANY Member Alexis Agliano Sanborn is making a documentary about food education in Japan. It’s about the people who make food education and school lunches possible – from cooks and lawmakers to city staff and researchers. It’s a story about people who believe in food – and that teaching about food helps the next generation to grow and thrive. Make this project a reality by supporting her Kickstarter (launching in early January) and like Nourishing Japan on Facebook!

Information about the development of the documentary and the Kickstarter campaign can also be found here:
