The Lowe Art Museum will be having a number of Japanese lectures and films that feature its current exhibition Introspection and Awakening: Japanese Art of the Edo and Meiji Periods, 1615-1912.
Events are open to the public, but there may be a general entrance fee of $10 for events. Also, the curator asks for guests to RSVP for each event they are intending to attend, in order to make sure there is sufficient food available.

There is also another Japanese art exhibit titled Adapting and Adopting: Waves of Change as East Encounters West; Modern and Contemporary Japanese Art which will run until April 2013.
